Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a Greek-American writer, syndicated writer of columns as well as a businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington works as an author, philanthropist, television host and the owner of The Huffington Post. She emigrated out of Greece to England when she was 16 years old, and obtained a MA from Cambridge University in Economics. The first graduate who was not from the UK to serve as president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. Being a conservative syndicated blog following her graduation, she was able to be the voice of Huffington Post. Her fame led to the recruitment of a number of famous contributors who shared their opinions on the news political, culture and politics. Arianna was famous when she made the decision in 2003 to stand as an independent candidate in the California Recall election to succeed the Governor Davis. She was also involved in an initiative in Detroit that promoted cars that are fuel efficient. She was named The Most Popular Women in Media by Forbes in 2009, gaining 12th position on this list. In the same year Guardian named her on the Top 100 Media List. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was named the president of this group. This included many AOL products at the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Their parents are Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was an expert in management and a journalist. While she was close with father, her relationship to her mom was the defining factor in the rest of her life. At an early age, she demonstrated leadership skills that remain highly respected. When she was 16 years old her family moved in England in the United Kingdom for her higher education. At Girton College Cambridge. During her college days she joined the college debating society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. She graduated in 1972 with a Master's Degree in Economics. After graduation, she began working as a critic for a newspaper column and a television host. In addition, she appeared with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
