Amber Benson is an American actress singer writer director and producer. Her most well-known part is that of Tara Maclay, in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Additionally, she's directed, produced and performed in her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. In addition, she appeared in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson, born to a psychiatrist and an artist named Diane Benson was born in Birmingham Alabama on January 8 1977. Danielle Benson, the sister of her is an artist of distinction. Benson's father was Jewish as was her mother was Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. Benson was raised in Alabama and went to the Reform community in Alabama.
