Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor who is best known for playing House in Fox's Medical drama House. Growing up in Wayne with a strict Jewish tradition, she moved into New York City at the age of 18 to pursue studies in theater at Tisch school of arts. She was very active in the club scene in New York City and was able that she was noticed in the press. At the same time she began to become conscious of AIDS its devastating consequences. Then, she used her experience and fame, and her own experience to create and present a program called Positive Me. In the following year she was employed by MTV to host Awake on the Wild Side. Her first appearances in television and film shows after the show ended. At first, she appeared in small roles.
