Selena Marie Gomez, /s@'li?n@ /goUmez/s@LEEn@ was born on the 22nd of July 1992. She is an American actress, singer and producer. Gomez's acting career began in the television show for children called Barney & Friends (1902-2004). As a teenager, Gomez became famous for her performance as Alex Russo in the Disney Channel television series Wizards of Waverly Place (1907-2012). She also executive produces and appears in the HBO Max cooking series Selena + chef (2020-2022) and the Hulu comedy show Only Murders in the Building (21-21). The latter earned Gomez critical praise, and nominations for the Golden Globe Award, and as a producer and producer, a Primetime Emmy Award . Gomez was previously part of Selena Gomez & the Scene released three albums. Each album made the top 10 of the US Billboard 200. The album was released Revelacion in Spanish which resulted in a Grammy Award nomination for Best Latin Pop Album. She has received numerous awards, like the 2017 Billboard Woman of the year award. She also broke fifteen Guinness World Records. Time magazine named her one the 100 most influential individuals globally in 2020. She has a massive following on social media, and is the most followed actress and musician on Instagram. Gomez has launched fragrance, makeup handbag and fragrance lines.
